It has been another hot dry week although it gets a
little cooler at night with the days shortening. The fishing remains good although as always some
anglers do very well whilst others seem to struggle despite the very large
stocks in the pools! We could do with
some appreciable rain on the lakes but not much on the horizon.
Willow pool gave
Mark Wood of Bristol 18 carp to
include a 21lb and 19lb common carp all on floating bread or prawn. Graham Evans of Exeter
took 27 carp and also 13 carp on heron pool best fish 16 1/2lb on floating
bread.
Kingfisher pool gave Bobby Jackson of Exminster 5 carp to 14
1/2lb. Mark Phillips of Exeter
had carp to 10 1/2lb.on floating bread.
Roger Whitton of reading had 7 carp to 6lb. Stephen Hird managed 21 carp
to 15 1/2lb using method feeder with sweetcorn on the sharp end.
Heron pool gave Brian Arnold of Exeter
14 carp to include a ghostie carp of 13lb 2oz.on surface fished chum
mixers.
