To conserve the high quality stocks of fish and to keep the fishery in the best possible condition for all visitors we have drawn up a set of rules after consultation with our regular anglers. Please observe them at all times and help us to ensure that the fishing is as good for those who come after you and that the fish remain healthy.
Please: use barbless hooks; use a landing net; return all fish to the water quickly; use an unhooking mat if you have one; and use the litter bins. If watching others fishing remember that fish are easily put off by noise, vibration and seeing people on the bank, so avoid this. Many visitors will be fishing close in, please respect their fishing too. Do not use any bad language. Complete your catch card.
Do not: use keepnets; pitch bivvies; dig the banks; use bolt rigs; use barbed hooks; use boilies or tiger nuts; use peanuts (unless pre-soaked for 24 hours); play radios or cd players; leave any baited tackle in the water unattended even for the shortest time; use any hooks with bends bent away from the shank.
Thank you in anticipation of your co-operation.
