Project Management

SCS personnel have extensive Project Management experience gained over many years in the industry. We have managed a significant number of projects on behalf of clients which range from highly technical development projects, through large scale implementation projects requiring logistical management, to the management of mission-critical systems.

The project management assignments we have undertaken have typically involved full responsibility for project planning, project budgeting, resource management and quality management. We are, therefore, experienced in the use of management tools which assist in performing these functions. However, whilst the use of such tools is necessary, we firmly believe in a pragmatic, hands-on approach which requires our project manager(s) to be fully conversant with all aspects of the project; in our experience, reliance on management tools alone will not produce the desired results.

Some examples of projects that SCS personnel have managed are:

• A technically complex project for a major credit card brand which required the design, development, implementation and support of a global service to facilitate aspects of credit card transactions.
   
• The roll out of a warehousing and distribution system for a major high street retailer which required detailed logistical management.
   
• A major, multi-million pound development and implementation of a system for the tracking and management of import and export freight through bonded warehouses.
   
• Mission-critical systems in the field of air-traffic control including real-time radar processing and electronic flight plan handling.
