|THE FRIENDS OF ST. GILES
St. Giles', Noke is a small parish church which has adapted to the needs of the community it serves. It is still a place of worship and prayer. Two services are held every month: a Family Service on the first Sunday and Holy Communion on the third Sunday of the month.
Such an old building inevitably requires constant attention, and The Friends of St. Giles was formed to assist with the funding of the repairs to the fabric and furnishings of the church. It is hoped to bring together past and present residents of the village, those with personal or family connections, and all who value the historical role that St. Giles' Church has played as the centre of village life since the Norman Conquest, and believe that it should be preserved for future generations.
We would welcome your donation to our Restoration Fund. Cheques should be made payable to: The Friends of St. Giles.

| GENEALOGICAL INFORMATION
The parish registers cover the period from 1574 to the present, with a few gaps. The listings from the parish registers provided on the Family History pages are inevitably abbreviated, as are the census returns from 1841 to 1901.
If you are tracing your family history and require more details from the parish registers (parents names, occupations etc.) or censuses (ages, places of birth) we can supply further information. If you would like to search the graveyard database for memorials we would be happy to supply photographs and transcriptions.
Facsimiles of the parish baptism and burial register entries are also available (from 1813 onwards); marriages are only available at present from 1961. For these services we would seek a donation to the Restoration Fund on the following scale:
All proceeds go to the benefit of St.Giles Church, Noke.
