Pre-School Nursery

Nursery DepartmentThe Nursery encourages the children, within a happy friendly environment, to become more independent and self-sufficient and aware of the value of co-operating with others. They learn through play with music, movement, craft, painting and other activities.

The children, at their own pace, acquire the ability to listen and concentrate, and gradually develop skills that lead to writing, reading and numbers.

Nursery Session

The following sessions are held for children 2&1/2; - 3&1/2; years old:

Mornings:   8.45 a.m. –- 11.45 a.m.

All day:      8.45 a.m. –- 3.00 p.m.

The term dates are the same as those for the main school.

Uniform

The children are expected to wear:

Winter:     Navy blue tracksuit

Summer:    Girls: school dress

                  Boys: blue personalised polo shirt and short grey trousers

In addition, pupils also require:

Black plimsolls

Shoebag

Wellington boots

Spare pants, trousers, socks

Plain black shoes

Outside jacket or coat (navy blue)

Please ensure that everything is labelled with your child's name.

Health

If your child is unwell, home is the best place for him/her. Please note that we are unable to accept responsibility for giving medication to children.

Jewellery

In the interests of safety of the children, no jewellery of any kind should be worn in the Nursery e.g. earrings, bracelets, rings, etc.
