You can open a Young Saver account (or one can be opened for you) if you live in Stockport and are under 16.
You will need to download and complete a Young Saver membership application form. Bring it to a collection point in the company of an adult who needs to sign for any withdrawals of money you want to make. You must also bring two forms of ID for the adult and one for the young saver (a list of suitable ID is included on the application form).
The adult who opens the account with you can nominate a second adult to sign for withdrawals. The second adult does not need to provide ID but will need to come to the collection point in person to sign the application form.
You will not need to pay an entrance fee: joining is free for young savers. There is no minimum amount to hold in your account, you can open it with as little as 10p. When you reach the age of 16, your account will be converted into an adult account, so you will be in control of your money without needing the signature of the adult who opened it with you.
