Anni Wilton-Jones lives in Blaenau Gwent, South Wales, with the younger members of her family of seven children. Coming from mixed Welsh and English stock, she can rightly be called a Welsh poet even though she was born and raised in England and writes only in the English language.

Anni is a member of Scriveners, a writers’ group based in Abergavenny, and of Salem, a group of performing poets and musicians, who have performed in Ireland, England, Wales, and the United States. She is a frequent visitor to Ireland and has read for several years at Writers Week in Listowel, county Kerry, where she has earned the nickname Aine an Caipin, or Anni, the Girl in The Cap.
