Dandelion Time is a book that was long overdue, and eagerly awaited by Jeff Ree’s many admirers. The cover was designed and illustrated by his daughter, Rachel, who also produced a series of six plates to accompany the poems. A keen eye for observation and for detail, coupled with a sympathetic understanding of her father’s work, has enabled Rachel to produce superb drawings, in a very personal style, which complement the poems in a very special way.

As an added attraction, the illustrations are also available as limited edition prints, mounted and signed by the artist, either singly or as a complete set.

Jeff Rees was born in Briton Ferry, in West Glamorgan in 1943. He has worked as a teacher of English, Music, Art and Drama and as a lecturer in Art History and Concemporary Poetry in Buckinghamshire, Gloucestershire and Gwent. He has also been an adjudicator at a number of arts festivals and has made broadcasts of poetry and short stories. Now retired, he spends his time writing and painting at his home in Blaenavon, North Gwent.

A polished and popular performer, winner of a Gold Medal from the Poetry Society, he is a member of Salem, and as well as reading his own work with the group he also provides musical accompaniment to his own and to other members’ poems.
