The Staff
All are staff are Qualified with Room Leaders having Level 3 NVQ or equivalent qualifications. Their assistants have at least Level 2 and most of these are studding towards Level 3. This is of course well above the minimum laid out by Ofsted. We have a very low turnover in staff leading to an excellent relationship between them, your children and yourselves. All are staff are also meticulously selected and screened by the police and Ofsted (Office for Standard in Education) to ensure peace of mind for you as parents. Many of the staff have a great deal of practical experience and common sense due to having families of their own. Staffing ratios are laid down by our regulated body Ofsted and at Brooklyn these are adhered to in order to ensure consistency of care and providing your child with a standard of care second only to your own.
Management
Sue Dursley has a wealth of knowledge and personal experience in caring for her own triplets. As a mum, Sue is very sensitive to separation issues and will be available to discuss any worries or concerns as they arise, this will hopefully prevent them from becoming problems. Sue is a qualified nurse and has previously worked on the sick baby unit at the City Hospital in Nottingham for 10 years. During that time she has supported many families who have suffered significant emotional difficulties in their lives. More recently she worked as a school nurse caring for the health and well being of children aged between 5 and 18 years. Sue is a wealth of information for mums to source regarding issues on health such as weaning, behaviour management, physical and mental development and children who are unwell.
