Our heroine Llio faces the long summer holidays without Trystan, the cute boy next door she really fancied. Llio and her mum go to spend their holidays with Mamgu, her cranky granny who lives out in the country. She’s a difficult person to get on with, but despite everything she is Mamgu and that’s why she’d got to be loved, respected… and tolerated!
Mamgu’s house is a treasure trove of memories for Llio’s mum, passions from years ago which prove that the divide between daughter and mother isn’t that vast at all. Both of them are thinking the same kind of things, mainly about love – or really, how can they both ensure they’ve got someone else to adore and care for.
