Welcome to The White Cottage bed and breakfast website. The White Cottage is a traditional Kentish farmhouse built in the 18th century and set in 2 acres of landscaped gardens complete with tennis court. Over the past 30 years your hosts Nola & John Batten have restored and sympathetically extended The White Cottage to provide a very comfortable and idyllic place to stay. Situated in the Weald of Kent in a peaceful rural setting between the two small towns of Headcorn and Staplehurst, this bed and breakfast is ideally located to take advantage of the many attractions to be found in Kent. The National Trust property of Sissinghurst Castle & gardens is only 6.5 Miles (10.6km) away. Staplehurst railway station is a 5 minute drive and gives rail access to London and the Kent coast. There are many gardens and historic houses to visit in Kent along with the towns of Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells and of course the city of Canterbury with its Cathedral. We are open all year except Christmas and New Year. |
