We offer up to eight real cask ales at any one time, four from handpumps on the bar and up to four from our tap room, visible through the window in the bottom bar. We take pride in the quality of our beers and for this reason the Artichoke has been selected for inclusion in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide since your present hosts took over the pub in 2006.

Elgoods Black Dog Mild, and Adnams Southwold Bitter are regular beers available all year round, but we choose our guest beers from the many hundreds of small craft brewers, both locally and nationally, and also from the independent regional breweries. Some popular local brewery’s beers sold include those from Fat Cat, Winters, Mauldons, Tipples, Crouch Vale, Oakham and Tindall. From around the country, Timothy Taylor, Black Sheep, St.Austell and Shepherd Neame, all regionals, are very popular. We have a list of what is coming on available and this is updated every three weeks. Please take a look.

On the bar, we have three Belgian Fruit beers, peach (peche), raspberry (framboise) and cherry (kriek), on draught and served in traditional goblets. Half pints only! We also offer lagers from Bitburger, Oranjeboom and Carlsberg. Guinness and Aspall
Suffolk Cider are also available.
