The Artichoke - beer garden

At the Artichoke we have a secluded beer garden, enclosed on all sides with six 8-seater garden benches for you to enjoy a drink or meal ‘al fresco’ when the sun shines, or under the moonlight in the evening!

We also have ample parking for over thirty cars in our two car parks. Both are fully illuminated, although parking is at the owners risk. Safe bike parking is available to the rear of the pub or on our two cycle rails. The pub is also serviced by the 580 and 588 Anglia Bus routes.

Since the smoking ban was introduced in 2007, smokers have been relegated to a huddle outside the front door. Not here at the Artichoke! For those who still enjoy the weed, we have installed a purpose built Smoking Shelter complete with table, comfy chairs, light and heater. Who says we don’t care?

We are also fortunate to have a number of walks close by, Broome Pits for some very good coarse fishing and Broome Heath for a brisk walk with the dogs. The Artichoke is the ideal starting or finishing point for a well earned pint – or two, and is very dog friendly. So, don’t forget to ask the staff for a doggy water bowl!
