Very few things are as powerful as popular music at evoking memories. The snatch of a song your grandmother used to sing can take you back to childhood, while a forgotten dance tune may bring back more painful and embarrassing episodes.

Forget-Me-Not Lane, the title of the play and a war-time hit by Flanagan and Allen, takes us back to the 1940's through the eyes of Frank - a teenager at the time. We look back on his relationships and all those people who shaped his life - his mother, wife, best friend and especially his father.

Peter Nichols' compassionate and warm play is moving, wise and above all, very funny. We discover that many of the uncertainties they faced in the 40's and 60's are still as relevant in 2008.
