Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation bilingual (Greek and Turkish) program, reports on a General Strike having been called by unions in northern Cyprus, against the Government. Interviews with representatives of different unions explain the reason for their protests. This is in part a protest about decisions made in Ankara are enforced on the 'government' in 'northern' Cyprus, and how the unions have had enough and are now challenging this state of affairs, with a one day preparatory strike.
