Volunteering with Theatro Technis

Theatro Technis was founded, and has always had to operate on the basis
of voluntary input by all its members and participants and therefore has a particularly
developed sense of volunteerism.

As we receive very little funding, the organisation is run on an unpaid
basis by its founder and Artistic Director, George Eugeniou, who at the age
of 77 still works far more than full-time, assisted by a board of directors
and the occasional but frequent and sustained input from members of their
families and a wide group of friends and other volunteers,

We are always open to offers of voluntary input by persons with an
interest in participating in our activities, across all facets of what
we call 'Total Theatre', meaning that we all have to be able to cope with
everything which keeping the space functional requires us to do.

Whether you have specific skills you want to develop, want to find out about
the many different careers available in theatre, or just want to meet people
and work in an interesting environment, come join the Theatro Technis team.

We are particularly seeking help from people interested in:

    * fund-raising
    * theatre management
    * theatre marketing
    * theatre technical services
    * front of house (ushering/cafe/bar)

We actively encourage people from all backgrounds to join us - the only
prerequisites are to be enthusiastic, friendly, reliable and committed to
making Theatro Technis even better.

We currently also accept nominations for student placements from local
schools and colleges, and provide such students with experience of daily
life at Theatro Technis.

Our own needs require us to prioritise applications from persons who are
able to sustain input over more than occasional appearances for a few weeks,
in favour of those who can devote one or more days per week over some months

For more information, email us. and if possible include
a CV and details of when you are free and how many days a week/month
you could be available for..
