| PLEASE SCROLL DOWN
Below are just some of the Artists who have recorded
with us (unfortunately, time doesn't permit us to include everybody).
If you'd like to contact any of them, please get in touch and
we'll pass on any messages.

FATHER HEN
spent a very productive weekend with us and put down 7 live
tracks of their own material ... wicked stuff. They'll be back
soon for some final tweeks and hopefully will return again with
their next bundle of songs. For their opinion of The Hideout

STEVE ELLIS,
the legendary voice behind The Love Affair who had a string
of hits in the 60's & 70's came up from Brighton to put
down 3 tracks with us. The new AMEN
CORNER provided the instrumentation. We had
a fantastic 3 days with these guys and hardly stopped laughing.
Steve was pleased with the tracks and the band are all keen
to work with us again. To read Steve's comments about his Hideout
experience click HERE and for more
info about the documentary he's working on which will feature
The Hideout, visit our "Latest news" section HERE.
For more pics of the band click HERE.

Local girl OLIVIA
popped in to record a track with us and blew us away. This tiny
little star has a voice like a freight train... big and powerful
that is. She got right down into it and finished the track before
we'd had time for a cuppa. Fantastic.
JACK MITCHELL
continues to be a regular visitor to The Hideout, working hard
on his new album. There's some pics of Jack scattered around
the site and we'll be putting some sample songs up when he's
done.

"As the last surviving members of the near legendary post
punk art rock collective 'JUICING
FOR DUNCAN' Kim Tempest and Pete Smith have
revived the band as a pure recording project at The Hideout
to offer the same post modernist neo-political commentary on
the futility of urban life though original music and heavy drinking."

Solo artist STEVE
O has been in to record his second album. His
voice is simply fantastic and we can highly recommend him without
hesitation for any function gigs such as weddings or corporate
work. You can contact him at steveosings@hotmail.co.uk
or his mobile is 07787374118 You can't go wrong.
The seven District Councils in Northamptonshire
have held a competition called "Soundbite" to promote
NOISE ACTION WEEK. The councils acted together asking schools
and youth groups to compose a 30-second sound bite with a noise
awareness message. The winning team were Charlie
Barry and Adam Chapman of the 8th Rushden Scout
Group. Charlie and Adam enjoyed their prize of studio time at
the Hideout to record their jingle, making full use of our facilities
between takes... namely the playstation in our chill-out area
and getting in some practice on a couple of vacant drum kits.
Well done guys... don't forget us when you're superstars! (Photos
coming soon)

Thanks to SECTION
SEVENTY NINE who came in to record a 5 track
demo with us. Jon was kind enough to email us the next day....
you can read it on our comments page
Cheers guys, look forward to seeing you all again soon.
FUNDTHEMENTAL
from the Rushden area have been busy recording their own brand
of brilliant covers, giving them their own "punky"
trademark. Great musicians and probably the best laugh we've
had with a band. If you can get to one of their gigs you'll
love 'em.
THE MARZ
have been visiting us for practice sessions and are looking
to record with us in the future. Visit their Webby at: THE
MARZ See their thoughts on the practice room here.
FRISKY BISON
came in to record a five track demo with us. All local lads
who also practice at the Hideout. For pics of the band click

PHASE 4 PHASE

What can we say about Phase 4.....? Well, this
is how a band should be. Great bunch of guys, each
and every one and definitely one of the coolest band we've had
in so far. We had the pleasure of their company for a week,
to record their new demo. The Hideout team have made 7 new good
mates, and we wish them all the success they deserve (which
would make them HUGE!!) Good luck guys. Their myspace is HERE
Some photos of their time at the Hideout are HERE,
and there are kind comments they sent to Ash on his myspace
page.
Rachel of RVOX ROX
came in to lay some vocals on a couple of tracks. One of the
most pleasant days we've had out here at the Hideout, very much
looking forward to working with her again. For a couple of pics
FOUR ON THE FLOOR
based in Coalville came along to put down a rockin' track they've
written themselves called: "Forget about him" Always
good to have a talented young band in. Zak emailed to say: "Hey
Guys, just mailing to say thank you for yesterday and it was
a pleasure recording with you guys." For pics of the band
is HERE
A warm welcome to our youngest star, 6 year old
LUCY. She came
in and recorded her version of "American Idiot". A
right little rocker this one. Backing track supplied by Ash
our engineer. Here's a couple of PHOTOS...
just to prove that when she's rich and famous...we found her
first!
Had a nice day with MARLENE
PACKWOOD who booked in to record her album of
self-written songs.We did 5 tracks and Marlene has re-booked
for another visit to put down another 5 tracks to complete the
project. Marlene kindly emailed the next day to say: "Thanks
for a great day yesterday and for being so helpful". Cheers
Marlene, looking forward to having you back. For some pics click

Had a great day with "THE
TRASH". They belted out 5 classic rockin'
tracks for a promotional CD. They enjoyed the day and are considering
using our live room for band rehearsals. We received a really
nice email the following day:
"Hello Graham and Ash,
Just a note to say thank you for yesterday..not just the recording...
but for making the whole event a very pleasurable experience.
The whole band really enjoyed coming to the Hide Out. We will
certainly recommend you to other bands. See you soon
John
The Trash
Cheers guys... and don't forget to do that video
with us sometime ... you guys were born for it! The
Trash Myspace For some photos of the band click HERE
Well it looks like we're on a roll here... yet
another outstanding vocalist (see "88" below). Marykate
booked into the Hideout and put down 5 tracks with us, which
for us was an absolute priviledge. Fantastic. For a couple of
pics of the day click HERE.
Marykate is currently looking for a band... somebody's gonna
get killed in the rush. Contact us if you're interested and
we'll pass on your details. To listen to a sample of the tracks
emailed to say "I would just like to say that we had a
great day, thanks again for all the work you did" Ash and
Marykate plan to work on some material together in the near
future.
Now this "Artists" bit is just to give
you an idea of some of the bands who pass through and the kind
of work we do. We wouldn't normally pass comment on anyone's
abilities.... but for the duo "88"
we have to make an exception. All we can say is, if there was
any justice, they would be recording at Abbey Road instead of
in the sticks with us. Simply top class. The girls put down
7 vocal tracks, all note-perfect. We shot some video while they
were here, and registered a domain name for a new website we'll
be doing for them. Keep an eye out for "88"!!
For some stills from the video click HERE
Very pleased to have "The
Shamlas" round, what a really nice bunch,
we all had a very pleasant day and our studio just about managed
to accommodate all 8 of them! They whacked out 11 tracks which
kept Ash on his toes, and we've finished them off with a medley
of 20-second bursts of each for their website. Robin emailed
to say:..
"Hi guys. Just to thank you and ash for your
efforts on Saturday. We all had a great time and were impressed
with your set up, bed manner, coffee etc. Im sure we will use
you again and will certainly sing your praises to any one who
asks."
Cheers Rob, look forward to seeing you all again.

Check out our "resident band!" MUCKY
FINGERS. Ugly as sin the lot of em and that's when they're
sober. Rehearsing up at the studio in the live room on a regular
basis, they will be recording here as soon as they've managed
to get their heads round a song. God help us.
"AIR 19"
are two local young ladies (Aimee & Irene) who came up to
the studio to record "Walking in the Air" (the snowman
song). For some pics of the day click HERE.
The girls sang really well, pretty much bang on first time,
which always helps. Ash created and produced all the music for
it and we're now in the process of making a video to go with
it. Aimee's dad said "Thank you so much for doing the CD,
absolutely brilliant, the girls are absolutely over the moon
with it, really appreciate it". Hope we can keep
them over the moon... might be useful for the video.... You
can listen to a sample of the track HERE
or the whole track is on their website www.air19.co.uk
Thanks to "THE
INSPIRED" for recording 5 cover tracks with us. The
guys recorded the songs playing together in one take for a live
feel with vocals dubbed afterwards. Good time had by all. "Jonse"
who plays bass said.... "Thanks, you were both brill, and
we'll definately come again" .... Cheers Jonse! For some
pics of the band, CLICK HERE
We recently had the pleasure of recording a few
tracks with West End opera singer MARIA
BURTON. After the session Maria kindly emailed
the following:
"Hi, thankyou so much.
I was thrilled with what I came home with and what we achieved
in the time. Good luck with the studio, you've got a great thing
going there and I'd love to do more if need be. Thanks for being
so accomodating. Best wishes, Maria".
All the best Maria, hope to see you again soon
at the Hideout.
