Band History

When Luke and Adam (original Drummer) got together in a garage in Selside they were just two friends having a jam, but the bug soon bit and it wasn’t long before they were playing an instrumental set in the local pub. Wanting to grow Luke met Sam in an IT class and he offered to play rhythm guitar with them and they jumped at the opportunity. Not being able to find a bass player Luke’s old man was commandeered. It was then decided that Luke should sing, it took a little while to find the voice but when he did it frightened us all. So the band was complete and gigging started with an ever growing list of popular covers and by now some original material.
Adam soon proved to be the life and soul of the after gig party and also demonstrated an amazing ability to drink enough to find walking difficult but still be able to play an entire gig perfectly. Suddenly after two and a half years and having a lot to do with the early original material Adam left the band to see the world, having run out of new drinks to try in the UK.
During this early period two other members came and went. Nikki on saxophone added a great twist to the guitar led music the band played for a while. Will another friend of the lads has played with the band on occasions and has filled in when Sam has been unavailable. Will talented on keyboard and guitar added yet another angle to the band.
Our next permanent drummer was big Dave who Luke went to college with, a good solid drummer played with the band for twelve months, although as he lived thirty miles away from the rest of the band logistics were a bit of a problem. When Dave had to leave suddenly just before new year with a full Christmas and New Year gig list drastic action was needed. Drew another one of the lads old school mates was dragged kicking and screaming to the drum kit to learn over forty numbers in four days, Drew soon became a rock solid member and today's line up was formed.
Another member that has played with the band when Sam was unable to is Dom, another one of Luke's college mates and a talented guitarist played a gig where we needed that extra guitar and vocal and were unable to play as a trio. It was also for this gig we persuaded a reluctant Drew to sing backing vocals to create an even bigger sound.
Although Sam joined as a rhythm guitarist he now shares the lead guitar with Luke and does some lead vocals. Luke writes most of our original material with the band adding the finishing touches.
