Plans of land or buildings

If you require an accurate plan of a piece of land or a building, I can take the necessary measurements and provide the information.

Investigation of defects

Whether you have a leaking roof, cracks in walls, apparent dampness, or other suspected defects in your property, I can carry out an investigation and provide a report. The report will also offer advice on necessary remedial works, if this is appropriate.

Schedule of Condition and Schedule of Dilapidations

Before taking a lease on a property it is important to commission a surveyor to prepare a Schedule of Condition, in order to record the condition of the property at that time.

At the end of the lease the building owner will prepare a Schedule of Dilapidations setting out items which are to be repaired or replaced. Possession of an accurate Schedule of Condition with which this can be compared may limit the scope of the list of required repairs.

Litigation

You may be unfortunate enough to become involved in litigation in connection with a building or land. In such cases an expert's report is usually required, in order to assist you with your case. Your insurers may insist on an expert's report.

A report can be prepared by a suitably qualified surveyor, who will also attend Court if necessary to explain the content of the Report.
