ORIEL opened in Headcorn 15 years ago and is the retailing division of Abbey Computer Services Ltd which was itself established back in 1979 long before the advent of the personal computer (PC) now so widely used in both the home and for business computing.  It was the anticipated explosion in the numbers of people that would purchase and use PCs that led to the establishment of Oriel in Headcorn.
