Dave Boardman’s World Music Hour followed by Imani Hekima - soulful reggae from one of the stars of WOYD '07. Imani started with Bradford based reggae band Spectre and supported the likes of Lee Scratch Perry, Aswad, Junior Delgado and Augustus Pablo. His next band, Real Eyez, worked with, among others, UK jazz trombonist Dennis Rollins. Followed by DJ Smash. A party for Trades Club & WOYD volunteers, staff and committee. ‘The Black Bloc’ are back at the Trades, after two sell out performances last year and a Glastonbury slot in the summer, with their unique concoction of funky leftfield trip-hop and heavy psychedelic grooves. Influenced by a wide range of musical genres and artists including; Can, Primal Scream, Radiohead, Rage Against The Machine, Gang Of Four, Funkadelic, and The Prodigy The Black Bloc are an unmissable live act. Concert for Tibet 3
Francis Lickerish; Guitarist, lute player, story teller, and founding member of 70’s cult classic rock band ‘The Enid’, who enjoyed an obsessively loyal following, and were often regarded as the most under-rated band of all time. This is a rare opportunity to see one of the very best guitarists the UK has produced with his band Secret Green, playing some classic Enid material and his own folk music. With support from Nic Chapman, Creedy (plus very special guests). All proceeds from this concert will be donated directly to the Tibetan Children’s Village. Francis Lickerish

Trades Club Saves the World Bank Holiday Weekend

The Trades Club will be providing Music to Save the World with local and travelling bands afternoons and evenings. Bands will include many from the Liverpool Institute of performing Arts. Funds raised will go to the Disasters Emergency Committee.

Club Couscous with Paula Darwish & the Country and Eastern Band
Paula Darwish is back with a new line up and a new night - Club Couscous. From Turkey there's Serpil Kilic on saz, Carlos Ballester (Spain) on guitar and Kuwaiti Nasser Althefferi on darbuka. Club Couscous is all about music from Turkey, the Med, Middle East, North Africa and Manchester. Live music from Paula, the band and guests followed by trashy Middle Eastern and Turkish pop. Don't expect sandals and kaftans - this is about rock and dance grooves - with ethnic origins. The only borders are in your mind. Paula Darwish

The second monthly forum for the politically engaged: politics without sound bites. The main event tonight is “The End of Suburbia”, a film that explores the effect that Peak Oil will have upon the American Way of Life, and asks what action needs to be ta ken now.
