Training 4 Dogs - Introduction to Agility for Beginners

Dog Agility Training WeavesWe run Agility Introduction Sessions throughout the Spring and Summer, they are usually held once a month and take place on a Saturday afternoon. The sessions are a light-hearted but intensive introduction to the sport of agility, they are aimed at beginners with little or no experience but are also ideal for those who feel that although they have tried the sport they have suffered from poor tuition or an inappropriate approach in the past. The sessions are lead by two Agility Club Approved, fully insured and experienced trainers, who will give you a full safety briefing and introduce you to all the obstacles on our competition standard dog agility course. Each session lasts two hours and can cater for up to 12 dogs and their handlers working in two groups of 6, each with their own instructor. In most cases dogs are able to perform all obstacles confidently by the end of the session. All jumps and contacts are set at a training position to prevent strains and accidents, dogs can work on or off the lead and all training takes place in a secure enclosed area at our private training ground in Upper Wield. The emphasis in these sessions is on safe and challenging fun and they provide a fast track to moving on to our regular agility classes. We accept all types of dogs in these sessions, the only requirements are that dogs are in good health, safe with other dogs and able to be safely handled their owner, a basic level of obedience is need to progress. Children, supervised by a responsible adult are also welcome at all our agility classes, where appropriate children may also attend as the principle handler. Puppy Socialisation Classes ThumbnailOur puppy socialisation classes are strictly for the babies. Puppies can join from 8 weeks of age or as soon as they have had their first inoculation. From 8 to 14 weeks puppies are at their most receptive and the need for socialisation at it is most imperative. Our premises are scrupulously disinfected and our classes very carefully managed to ensure that puppies get lots of experiences - all of them good. Click Here for details.

Adult Classes ThumbnailWe offer adult training classes at a variety of times in the afternoon and evening. Numbers in our classes are strictly limited to ensure that everyone gets plenty of time and attention and the chance to fulfill their potential. Our classes are carefully planned and managed, we don't take any adult dog until it has been assessed to ensure that it will benefit from learning a class environment and to ensure that classes remain orderly and conducive to learning.
