Training 4 Dogs - General Training for Companion Dogs

Dog Training ClassesWe believe that dogs and people learn best in small, friendly puppy classes and dog training classes where everyone gets plenty of encouragement and personal attention.
We restrict our puppy classes and dog training class numbers to between 5-8 Clients and their dogs and within our curriculum focus on those areas of dog training and canine behaviour that are of foremost priority to those in the class.
We believe that family dogs should be trained in a family environment so we welcome all members of the family, including children to be involved in our dog training classes.
We believe that people as well as dogs learn better through praise than through punishment, so there is no bullying, humiliation or shouting at our dog training classes.
We believe that dogs learn through consistency, reward and kindness, our dog training methods are based on consistently rewarding desirable behaviour and building a bond of trust between dog and handler.
We believe that learning to train your dog should be fun, our puppy classes and dog training classes are relaxed, the emphasis is on happy people and happy dogs. We recognised that people learn different things at different rates and that the same is true of dogs, there is no pressure to keep up with someone else or be "top of the class", just encouragement to learn and enjoy.
We believe that it is never too late to start teaching any dog good manners, sociable behaviour, fun and games. We certainly don't subscribe to the theory that "you can't teach an old dog new tricks". We offer different training for dogs of different ages and stages of learning.

Dog Training ClassesRolling Courses and Flexible Attendance

We recognised that in the modern world, everyone is very busy and it is often difficult to fit everything in every week. To help our clients we try to be as flexible as possible so we offer rolling courses, this means that you join whenever it suits you, you don't have to wait for the start of a new term and your "course" won't arbitrarily end just when you are really getting ahead.
We offer a variety of classes across a range of days and times and if you can't make your usual class you are welcome to attend on a different day or at a different time.
We offer flexible attendance if for any reason you won't be able to make any class on a particular week, let us know when you book your course and and we will allow you to add the class onto the end of your current block of bookings. Please note that Flexible Attendance only applied to Puppy Socialisation and general Training Classes, it does not apply to Agility Classes or any of our special Master classes or events.

Puppy Socialisation Classes ThumbnailOur puppy socialisation classes are strictly for the babies. Puppies can join from 8 weeks of age or as soon as they have had their first inoculation. From 8 to 14 weeks puppies are at their most receptive and the need for socialisation at it is most imperative. Our premises are scrupulously disinfected and our classes very carefully managed to ensure that puppies get lots of experiences - all of them good. Click Here for details.

Adult Classes ThumbnailWe offer adult training classes at a variety of times in the afternoon and evening. Numbers in our classes are strictly limited to ensure that everyone gets plenty of time and attention and the chance to fulfill their potential. Our classes are carefully planned and managed, we don't take any adult dog until it has been assessed to ensure that it will benefit from learning a class environment and to ensure that classes remain orderly and conducive to learning. Agility Classes ThumbnailWe run our Dog Agility classes from March until the end of September, outdoors on a grass surface. Our Agility classes cater for all levels of experience from complete beginners to competition level. Our Instructors are Agility Club Approved and our equipment competition quality BUT this emphasis is on fun and we welcome all breeds of dog and all ages of handlers. Click Here for details

Private Training and 1-2-1 Sessions ThumbnailMost of our training takes place in private 1-2-1 sessions, sometimes these are aimed at dealing with a specific challenge such as not coming back or pulling on the lead. More often private lessons are simply more convenient and better focused to the needs of the individual. Adult dogs will need to be assessed at a private 1-2-1 session before being admitted to our Adult Training Classes Click Here for details
