Training 4 Dogs - Searching and Tracking

Dog Training TrackingSearching and tracking uses a dogs natural hunting abilities to follow a laid track over areas of land or to seek airborne scent in order to locate a prize. Searching and tracking teaches dogs to use their senses in a way that most canine activities do not, obedience and agility are about the dog working to the handler's commands to compete exercises that only the handler fully understands. When searching and tracking the handler must put all their trust in their dog because the dog alone has the necessary skill to find and maintain the track or to find the scent of the article.
Many breeds of dog are suitable for and really enjoy searching and tracking but among the best searching and tracking dogs are the scent hounds and the hunting breeds such as Beagles, Spaniels and Labradors.
searching and tracking is a great past time that allows dogs to use their amazing natural ability to pick up and follow a scent. Whilst searching and tracking the dog is in control and the handlers confidence in their canine partner is often the key to success.
Our searching and tracking classes are small, no more than 6 dogs and their handlers per class. Classes last approximately an hour and take place in locations around the Alton and Alresford area.
We run searching and tracking courses for complete beginners and more advanced dogs and handlers. Searching and tracking classes take place outdoors in all weather.
Please contact us for more details and the dates of the next available courses, to e-mail us Click Here.

Our premises are scrupulously disinfected and our classes very carefully managed to ensure that puppies get lots of experiences - all of them good. Click Here for details.

Adult Classes ThumbnailWe offer adult training classes at a variety of times in the afternoon and evening. Our classes are carefully planned and managed, we don't take any adult dog until it has been assessed to ensure that it will benefit from learning a class environment and to ensure that classes remain orderly and conducive to learning.
