These sessions are aimed at the first time owner, those with dog experience who are considering a breed with which they are unfamiliar, those who have not had a new puppy for a while or those who are introducing a new puppy into a household with a resident dog or cat. The sessions take place at the owner-to-be's home and will include a home assessment and advice on breed suitability, gender, finding a breeder, health schemes, preparation, first days, early learning, socialisation and other topics. At Training 4 Dogs we offer a very varied calendar of events throughout the year. Our training classes run during the week and at weekends and offer both daytime and evening classes for puppies and older dogs. From early Spring until Autumn we run our very popular outdoor agility classes on a weekdays during both daytime evening and on Saturdays. In addition to these regular classes we also run special Introductory Classes, Master Classes and Training Clinics on weekends through most of the year. Further details of our all our classes can be found on the appropriate pages of this site or you can give us a call and we will be happy to discuss with you which classes may be best suited to you and your dog. Most of our events take place at Upper Wield in Hampshire, for details of the location and for directions to our classes please
Our puppy socialisation classes are strictly for the babies. Puppies can join from 8 weeks of age or as soon as they have had their first inoculation. Our premises are scrupulously disinfected and our classes very carefully managed to ensure that puppies get lots of experiences - all of them good.
Our regular Dog Training Classes take place on Tuesday evenings from 18:00-19:00 and from 19:00-20:00, also on Wednesday afternoons from 13:00-14:00 and from 14:00-15:00 or on Wednesday evenings from 19:00-20:00 following the Puppy Socialisation Class. All classes are held at Upper Wield Village Hall, when light and weather permit classes take place outside at our Dog Training Ground about 50 yards from the Hall. For more details
Our Training Classes are based on the KCGCDS, tests are held every three months in March, June, September and December. Tests are usually held on a Thursday during the daytime and again in the evening, in the darker months the tests are held on a Saturday morning. To enter a KCGCDS test you must book a minimum of 6 classes.
Our Dog Agility Classes run from March until the end of September and take place every Monday afternoon and evening at our Dog Training Ground at Upper Wield about 100 yards from the Village Hall. Our Agility Classes are suitable for all levels of experience from complete beginners to competition standard. Due to their popularity we are not able to include Agility classes in our flexible booking scheme.
We are running another two Introduction to Clicker Training Master Classes in 2007. The Venue for the Class is Upper Wield Village Hall and the cost for each session is £25. The sessions will run from 14:00-16:30 and are a mixture of practice and theory, handlers are expected to bring a dog. For more details about Clicker Training
We are holding several of our very popular Introduction to Agility sessions at our Dog Training Ground at Upper Wield. The sessions last up to two and a half hours and numbers are limited to ensure that handlers and dogs get plenty of hands on practice and tuition.
