We have now acquired our own Dog Training Ground located 50 yards from Wield Village Hall in Upper Wield in Hampshire. Work has been completed to fully enclose an area for secure training and Dog Agility Classes started at the Training Ground last month. The Dog Training Ground will enable us to move classes spontaneously outside in the Spring and Summer months when light and weather permit whilst retaining the Village Hall as a base for classes with parking facilities. The Dog Training Ground also provides us with an ideal area for 1-2-1 Training for dogs who are presented to us with a variety of challenges such as dog who run away from or won't come back to their handlers when called. For dogs that are anxious when in close proximity to other dogs or that are easily distracted by their class mates the Dog Training Ground provides us with a large open area where dogs and handlers have the space to work in more relaxed surroundings. The first Dog Training Master Classes started in March 2006 at the Dog Training Ground with a series of Adult Socialisation Classes for details
