TRAK is run by tenants and residents from the Kirkholt area, who volunteer their time free of charge, to allow the community base to be open three days a week. The association is managed and administered by a committee, made up of tenants and residents who live in Kirkholt.
Membership is free to all those people living within the boundaries of the Tenants & Residents Association (see Area of Benefit Map).

Why have a Tenants and Residents Association?
- To address issues and problems collectively through an independent body.
- To represent the views of people living in the area, to the Council, to Rochdale Boroughwide Housing, to housing landlord(s) and to other agencies.
- To provide a means to enable people from the area to be consulted.
- To take part in decisions that affect the area.
- To try and ensure local involvement and influence in any initiatives or programmes that affect the area.
- To run activities and events on the estate.
- To manage a Community Base and/or other projects.
- To provide information and advice to tenants and residents.
- To act on behalf of tenants and residents who have problems or complaints.
How TRAK is funded
TRAK receives a grant from the Tenant Participation Unit of Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH) which is based upon the number of RBH tenant properties within the boundaries of the association (area of benefit). The grant is issued twice a year in March and September.
