Tackling Anti Social Behaviour

Many neighbour problems can be sorted out by talking calmly with the other person. But action can be taken quickly to assist you if this approach fails or if someone's behaviour is very anti-social. We can only help if we know in detail what is going on. You can make this possible by keeping a diary of everything that happens. We can then work out together the best way to sort out your problems.

In order for both the Police and Rochdale Boroughwide Housing staff to deal with problems, whether it is anti-social behaviour, vandalism, or something else, they need your help to determine what is happening, and to identify offenders.

Diary sheets are a good way to help the Police or Rochdale Boroughwide Housing staff get a picture of what is happening over a period of time, so it will be easier to bring about a prosecution.

Rochdale MBC and Rochdale Boroughwide Housing have produced a joint Anti-social behaviour Policy Statement.
