The club currently has 3 two seat aircraft, 2 single seat aircraft, one motor glider and one tug aircraft. Click on the photos see a bigger version - as well as see what the cockpit looks like! (Yet to impliment)

The Grob Acro II is now used as the main training aircraft of the club, favoured for its pleasant handling, roomy cockpit and good performance. This design of aircraft once held the world "out and return" glider distance record of 1000.88km.

The Puchacz is another two seater used for pilot training, as well as an aerobatic instructional glider capable of performing in entry level aerobatics contests.

The Grob Astir CS is from the same stable as the Grob Acro II, being almost a single seat version with a retractable undercarriage. The large wing area allows for good low speed handling characteristics, but reduced high speed performance when compared to more modern gliders. An Astir held the world glider altitude record of 49,009ft for almost 20 years (almost twice the height airliners fly at!).

The K13 is one of the most popular training gliders in the world - but is gradually being replaced by the more modern K21 and Grob Acro. They are a perfect training glider for most aspects of training - with responsive controls and all round visibility they are the chosen training aircraft for many clubs.

Another single seater from the same manufacturer as the K13, the K6e is one of the highest performance wooden gliders. Decent performance mixed with very responsive handling makes this another enjoyable glider to fly - it climbs easily in thermals but loses out during high speed and long distance glides.

The Piper Pawnee was origionally a crop spraying agricultural aircraft - designed to be rugged and easy to maintain. It is now favoured throughout the gliding world for its high horsepower and good towing abilities.
