Nurse with Wound is one
of the most important musical projects to be born in the UK indie/new-wave
boom of the late 1970s. The original band was formed in 1978 by three experimental
music aficionados: Steven Stapleton, John Fothergill and Heman Pathak. Later
they became the main recording name for Steven Stapleton and whoever he chose
to work with, including David Tibet (Current 93), Colin Potter, and others. The
Audion Guide To Nurse With Wound includes a brief history, discographies, a
run-down of the much-lauded NWW list including recommended/suggested albums,
etc. Amended, corrected and revised, but pretty much in the style of the
original edition. This is the handiest guide to all things Nurse With Wound
related "in a nutshell". This new reprint expands the Nurse With
Wound list overview, and also adds a number of extra Audion review features.
And, it now comes with a colour cover! The Brainwashed site
published the opening section of our original guide on their web-site, without
seeking our permission. Was okay as a stop-gap whilst ours was out of print. So,
we did a revised edition containing tons more, everything Audion wise up to
2005. |
