This is to be the Italian book equivalent of our The Crack In The Cosmic Egg. We do not have any printer/publisher sorted out for this yet, and we are open to suggestions. Prohibitive rises in printing costs have stopped us doing further print runs of The Crack In The Cosmic Egg after the printing company we used closed down. This means that to do any further prints a complete new set of plates would need to be prepared. All the printers I contacted since proved to be far to expensive. This is the reason for doing the revised version as CD-Rom. This Italian music book will not be as big as our German one, as the scene is only about a quarter of the size. So, hopefully, printing costs won't be such a problem. We will, of course, also later do CD-Rom of this as well.
Italian progressive rock, and the related jazz fusions and avant-garde Futurist fields produced some of the most amazing music of the 1970's often in concoctions that defied categorisation. This is why such music is close to our hearts, and why we are so keen to do this. So, now have the enormous task of getting all the information we need together. Amazingly we now seem to have heard all the albums revered as classics, but still have some information holes and big gaps that we need to fill.
If you can supply any of the info we need we'd greatly appreciate it.

Are any of the following Italian bands/soloists worth hearing?...
Acroama - experimental prog EP, 1981 slightly new-wave
edged, curious. Stuff at http://www.myspace.com/acroamait odd fusion with
synths (from a record) is a bit rough and amateurish. Seems they were formed in

L'Altro Mondo - Canta e balla / Sogno di te
Al Aprile
Cuncti Gens Una - L'alba di Gretel / Autunno
Dragon - on Best Sound
Rino Farruggio - DA UOMO A UOMO - Christian rock singer,
it seems (psych folk according to one place - unlikely)
First Born - SAME, 1973 ???
Gasoline - THROUGH THE LIGHT, on Shirak - found cover
picture, looks more new-wave or pop than prog
Helza Poppin - My peace
Le Impressioni - Appassionatamente lei / Promenade (1972).
Justide
Mai Lai
Lorenzo Lazzarini - CIVILTA
Legenda Meligunis - MOMENTI SICILIANI, Near Records NRLP751 - folk? seems to be vocal ensemble?

stuff from Jacula people?
Mario Schiano - moving
force of the free jazz scene in Rome and Italy
Serena - metal it seems?
Track - "Track Rock" Ricky Belloni &
