Composed by Dave Powell.
Recorded by Dave at home on a Tascam Portastudio (28 June to 14 July 2003).
Digital transfer (21 July 2003), and mastering at Tachyon Studio (August 2003) by Alan Freeman.

Dave Powell: Guitar shaped Hurdy-Gurdy by William Molan (after Pierre Louvet), violin bow, Zoom GFX-8 guitar effects, DigiTech RP100 guitar processor, assorted sounds, talking Christmas card.

After first hearing this, I kind of jokingly suggested the title "Fried Rosin" to Dave, due to the nature of the music, not at all typical for a hurdy-gurdy album, and that in sessions he also seemed to get through copious amounts of rosin (that's the rose wood sap blocks used on strings that aids resonation - if you know what I mean), and as if he'd fried the sound with electronics too - a double meaning! An unusual and fascinating album of vignettes and sound pictures.
