POCKET READERS

In early 2002, the Chairman of Macular Disease Society told Pat Crane that what their sufferers really wanted was a product that they could use to take shopping without being too conspicuous. After building a prototype using a cereal packet, and then balsa wood, the first Pocket Reader was born. By the end of 2002 they were being sold all over the world before alternatives came onto the market.

Today, our models may not have many of the expensive features that our competitors have, but our low prices offer a more affordable product that can be used at the shops, reading menus, map reading and looking at bus timetables.
