Charitable Activities

Adopt-a-Minefield

Each year the Bahá'ís join in the fundraising idea of a 'Night of 1000 Dinners' by hosting a meal and asking for donations for Adopt-a-Minefield, which is a charity run by the United Nations Association to clear minefields and help those who have been injured by landmines. If you would like to be invited to the 'Night of 1000 Dinners' or would like to be informed of any other local Adopt-a-Minefield events please click here.

Southam Fete

Each year the Bahá'ís have a stall at Southam Carnival Fete. This usually takes the form of a lucky dip for children and a sale of goods. Sometimes there is a quiz to raise awareness of an issue such as world peace, poverty, the problem of landmines, and so on. All money raised goes to a charity - in recent years it has been Adopt-a-Minefield. Bahá'ís are not allowed to accept money for the Faith from anyone who is not a Bahá'í.
