LENT APPEAL: You subscribed £54.32
for Educateperu, the Diocesan Lent Appeal
project. Whilst it will not build a
couple of classrooms, I am sure that together with the other generous folk
across the Diocese we shall probably get enough to allow the scheme to go
ahead. CHILDREN'S AREA: We shall be removing a
couple of pews on the south side of the church to make room for a children's
area. This item has been under
discussion for quite a while by the PCC and its good
to see that is at last coming to fruition. ELECTRICITY: We now have a faculty
to update our electrical installation, so work will commence later in the
year. ANNUAL CHURCH
MEETINGS: These were held as
advertised on April 21st. The officers
were all re-elected. Reports were received from the Fabric Officer, and Secretary, and the examined accounts were adopted. The
next PCC meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 1st July 7.30pm at Chestnut Farm
and the next GIFT DAY: It was too soon to
have a result of our Gift Day in this month's edition of Link Up, BUT if you
have not yet subscribed please don't think its too
late! If you need a Gift Aid envelope just phone the warden (number at the
top of the page) and one will arrive very quickly! PRAYING TOGETHER: May 8th saw the start
of this programme of Benefice Prayer Meetings in
our Church, with prayers being led by John Arkell.
It is an ongoing programme round the Group; see
your church notice boards or church notes in Link Up. Our next turn for this event is in
November. |
