CHURCH NEWS - OCTOBER, 2009. THE ORDINATION to the PRIESTHOOD of the REVEREND
FRANK CLARKE: The ordination to the Priesthood of the Reverend
Frank Clarke by the Right Reverend James Langstaff,
Bishop of Lynn will take place on Sunday 4th October 2009 at St Nicholas
Church, Salthouse at 11am. Everyone is invited to this sacrament of ordination
and to the buffet lunch afterwards. It is a really special occasion for our United
Benefice to witness in one of its fine churches, the calling of someone to
serve this royal priesthood. For Frank it has been a long journey blessed by
God and empowered by the Holy Spirit. As a Priest, Frank will be ordained to
lead God's people 'in the offering of praise and the proclamation of the
gospel' and 'sustain the community of the faithful by the ministry of the
word and sacrament'. As a colleague and friend we will be richly blessed
with Frank's gifts of ministry as a Priest. We pray for him, for Annette and
for the family at this time and pray for the community amongst whom he will
serve. Fr Phil. BENEFICE PRAYER MEETING: The Benefice Prayer Meeting in October will be held
on Friday, 9th between 10 - 11am at All Saints Church, Bodham. Do please come
and support this essential activity. COMMEMORATION OF THE FAITHFUL DEPARTED: As in previous years, there will be special Services
on Sunday 1st November, the day before All Souls' Day, to commemorate the
departed, those who have died recently and also those who have died sometime
in the past. These Services will be held at 3pm in both All
Saints' Church, Bodham and the Priory Church of All Saints', Weybourne. If
