A nicely proportioned panelled marquetry longcase clock of pleasant warm colour by Charles Cabrior of London who is recorded as working in Lombard Street.
He was free of the Clockmakers company in 1697.
The hood has barley twist columns with giltwood capitals to the opening door
The eleven inch dial has ‘cherub and crown’ spandrels, calendar, ringed winding holes and is signed on the silvered chapter ring.
The eight day movement has an outside countwheel striking mechanism.
