An 18th century mahogany longcase clock with quarter columns to the trunk, canted angles, and a raised panel to the base The case has excellent colour & figure to the veneers although the photograph does not really show it.
All the mouldings and turnings are of superior quality, being very crisp and well finished The excellent quality 8 day movement has a wood rod pendulum with a Graham style long crutch.The brass dial has a matted centre with decorative engravings and the makers cartouche signed W. Simcock Prescott. Made circa 1770
