A fine table clock by this famous partnership. The twin fusee movement with original verge escapement has six latched pillars, with the backplate engraved with the makers names. The shallow arched dial still retains its original fire gilding, which is in excellent condition. The ebonised triple pad top case of small size has long side windows with moulded surrounds. The clock is 13.5” tall including the handle. The partnership is recorded from about 1743-64.~Benjamin Gray was watchmaker to George II. Both makers are represented in the Royal Collection. This clock was made some time between 1750 and 1760.
