Our friendly, knowledgeable and highly experienced staff are very happy to answer your questions and look forward to hearing from you soon. We only offer programmes that we really know ourselves and we are all keen travellers too.  John Brodie-Good re-visited Antarctica this year and is now engrossed in the final planning stages of next year’s first Western Pacific Odyssey. Wendy Coe currently runs our Tours Department and has somehow managed to get to Baja California whale watching again this year.  Emma Brown assists in the Tours Department and greatly looks forward to going to Baja next year. Sarah-Jane Thompson crossed both the Antarctic and Arctic Circles this year on expedition ships and is our Trinidad and Tobago specialist. Jan Clements will be visiting Trinidad later this year, the ice next year and also looks after our Space clients.  Hilary Bond keeps an eye on our Ecovolunteers travelling worldwide plus travel agency administration and accounts whilst Nicky Hudson designs our brochure, website and adverts.  The office staff are backed up by one of the best teams of tour leaders including the world’s current number one birder, Tom Gullick, 8590 species and still rising

We are again delighted to offer you some of the most wonderful and exciting travel experiences available in the natural world today. Despite the ever-changing human world, nature remains a continuing essential tonic to life, in all its amazing forms.

Our selection of the best voyages continues to grow with the addition of the Scottish and North Atlantic Islands, Emperor Penguin Icebreaker Safaris, a new small ship group departure to the Antarctic Peninsula plus the welcome return of Kamchatka.  The interest for our exclusive Western Pacific Odyssey voyage has been overwhelming - contact us now if you want to go in 2009! We also have another ‘world first’ voyage in the planning stages which will be announced next year. This year’s Antarctica, Falklands and South Georgia group encountered more Blue Whales in one day near South Georgia than have been seen there in the last ten years! Our recent Spitsbergen group enjoyed close views of a Polar Bear eating Eider eggs from the safety of their Zodiacs. These are just two of the countless encounters that our clients have savoured, and will remember for the rest of their lives.  Our escorted departures mean you get the absolute maximum from your great adventure. Mouth-watering trip reports are available on our website or are available from us on request.   Add over 15 years personal experience and the best prices, we are your one-stop shop for all things pelagic.

New WildWings Birdwatching holidays for 2007 include the Eilat Spring Migration Festivals in Israel, Christmas Island Bird Week, the return of Tom Gullick’s Pyrenees, Birdwatch Magazine Azores Autumn Migration and Vagrants tour. We also confirm that we will return to Hong Kong in Spring 2008 for the remarkable wader passage to be led by David Rosair. The revamped Speyside Inn in Tobago joins the selection of properties we offer in conjunction with our Pax Guest House Birding Packages in Trinidad. All the favourites are of course again on offer, the Polish and Goa Bird Festivals, Beidaihe, to name just a few - full details inside.

Richard Webb has excelled himself again in devising two superb new mammal tours after the continued high demand for our Brazil Jaguars trips.   He leads an exploratory tour to Chile in March 2007 for Pumas, other mammals and birds. The first full tour will be offered in 2008. He has also recently returned from China and successfully watched Giant Pandas in the wild. We are therefore delighted to offer our first, small group departures for Panda, other mammals and birds trips in 2007.

This year’s WildOceans Baja group enjoyed a male Humpback breaching over 60 times amongst the usual cast of many other large whales and literally thousands of dolphins. This ultimate whale and dolphin watching holiday offers so much more too, it simply has to be one of the top five wildlife trips, period.   Our Azores holidays has been improved further for 2007, join Lisa and Chris in these magical islands for some great sightings and exciting encounters.

Ecovolunteers continue to add new projects to their programme of working wildlife conservation holidays. A hornbill project in Myanmar including field work on the ‘vulnerable’ Plain-pouched Hornbill plus new wildlife rescue centres in Asia and South America are all expected to be online and bookable soon. As always for full information visit www.ecovolunteer.org.uk

In the spirit of Cousteau, Deep Ocean Expeditions recently announced the most exciting and ambitious multi-year series of voyages to explore and study the depths of five oceans in both hemispheres including both polar regions and the tropics using the Mir 1 and 2 submersibles. Many new species will be discovered.  The outline plans can be found within, although at the time of press, the surprise news that the mothership has just been requisitioned by the Russian Government may delay the start of this incredible venture.

Major announcements this year by Space Adventures include the full funding of the development, flight testing and production of Explorer, a Sub-Orbital Space Flight vehicle system to fly our clients for the ultimate natural history view, Earth. Design details are expected very soon - make our homepage a favourite on your web browser. Dice-K  Enomoto from Japan is now confirmed to be the next Orbital flyer, the world’s  number four, follow his adventures at www.dice-k.com The lady private space explorer is also now in training we hear.

The only dark cloud on the travel horizon has been the rising fuel prices, especially oil for ships and aviation fuel. When our suppliers levy any such supplements they are always passed on to you at the cost price. If you want to join the growing group of people who feel they should pay something back for the carbon emissions caused by their flying, we suggest a donation to help save the world’s ultimate flyers, albatrosses and their allies.

There has never been a better time to travel and explore our world, see you out there!
