Who are we? - We are a Wiltshire based, registered children's charity (No. 1077193) whose main aim is to promote learning through creativity, by making various low cost resources available to the community.  These resources include a scrapstore, craft shop, library, badge machine hire service, training & workshops, and Accucut die-cutting service.

Where are we? - Click here for directions and a map.

What is a scrapstore? A scrapstore is often part of a resource centre like ours.  There are various scrapstores based around the country each servicing a particular community area.  We cover Wiltshire (excluding Swindon) and the surrounding area.

What sort of items are available? We have a warehouse full of treasures (the Scrapstore) - members fill a bag for a donation of between £4.00 and £8.00.  Scrap is donated by businesses and is anything that would normally go into landfill, but is safe and clean for children and young people to use in creative activities.

What can you do with your scrap?Members take away the scrap to use in various projects, for example schools often use us for subjects such as Design Technology, Art, textiles, or English and Drama, whereas nurseries might use our scrap to work on craft projects based around a particular theme.  Membership is open to anyone who works with children or young people, including parents and carers, and community groups.

What else do we do? - We run a series of outreach sessions to reach members who can't easily get to us, we run training and workshops, and we run Creative Parties for children. We also have a training room which is available to hire for meetings.

How can you help us? -

  • We need more volunteers. We have several opportunities available at the moment, so why not get in touch? Click here to download an application form or email Tania for more information.

  • We would really appreciate any donations you could spare. We are fundraising at the moment to buy a different Outreach Van so that we can visit more of you around the County. See our fundraising page for more information.

  • Could you hold a fundraising event for us, such as a sponsored walk, coffee morning, quiz etc?

  • We need support from the corporate sector - could we become your company's Charity of the Year?

  • Could your employees become involved through volunteering or payroll giving scheme?
