Reports from the Ghillies Seminars are available under 'Publications'
Held annually, the seminars address different aspects of fisheries and fisheries management each year. These have included the marine environment, fisheries management (including stocking), fisheries management and parasites, fisheries issues and the political and practical aspects of fisheries management. Speakers are sourced from the public and scientific communities including Marine Scotland, SEPA and Univeristies.
As stated, this is for Ghillies and fisheries managers only and gives them the opportunity to question the experts.
Working with the schools and ranger service we are involved in a variety of projects and demonstrations to teach as many as possible about the aquatic environment and its protection.
Work with the schools has included a P7 transition project, 'Fishy Tales' and 'Eely Days'. The latter involved both workshops and field trips - to much enthusiasm.
