Fisheries

This page gives information on some of the fisheries within the Trust area and their contact details. Much of this has been done by connection to different Web pages.

Hope Estate -

Loch Hope is well known for its sea-trout, and boats are available for hire by the day or week from June to September. You can check availability on the website www.LochHope.co.uk.
 
River Hope fishing is let by the week together with Hope Lodge, and is usually booked up well in advance, although occasional weeks are available through the letting agents CKD Galbraith (http://www.sportinglets.co.uk/ or ring 01738 451600).

Rispond Estate - there are fishings available on the River Polla and Loch Sian. Details from:  Charles Marsham, Rispond, Durness, Lairg, IV27 4QE. Tel:  01971 511224.  e-mail: rispond@btinternet.com

River Polla - At south end of Loch Eriboll. Small spate river with a good run of sea trout and salmon. The season is June - September. Some fishing is available, night fishing is possible.

Loch Sian - Adjacent to the west shore of Loch Eriboll and about 25 acres. Brown trout and occasional sea trout. A boat is sometimes available, June - September.

Assynt Angling Group - Fishings are available for a wide range of lochs in the Assynt area. For more information click on: www.assyntangling.co.uk

Inverpolly Estate - There is fishing available throughout Inverpolly Estate, at various prices.  

    River Garvie - 2 rods available for the right bank (looking downstream) at £15 per rod. Salmon and sea trout are possibles.

    Boats are available for Lochs Sionascaig, Lurgainn and Badagyle at a cost of £15. Engines are also available for £12, with lifejackets a further £2. Again, these are migratory systems.

    The Polly and Black Lochs are available for both bank and boat fishing. Boats are prices at £12, bank fishing is £5. These lochs are fly only.
