Yorkshire Rose has recently been taken over by Mark Earnshaw, well known in the local area due to the still remembered William Earnshaw and Sons at Outlane. Mark is the grandson of William and has had a career spanning over 30 years in the horticulture business. After obtaining his city & guilds in horticulture at Huddersfield Polytechnic he began freelancing his floral talents at the same time as landscape design, working with his brother in law, Richard Jowett at Richard Jowett Landscapes.
After 10 years landscaping and freelancing Mark decided to move into the wholesale flower distribution business and joined the team at Bletchers flowers, Red Doles Lane Huddersfield (now known as Marilliam). This enabled Mark to become well known in the flower shops of Kirklees for his easy going attitude and willingness to help anyone who needed it. It also gave him a fantastic understanding of the retail market and current floral designs.
Finally, after many years of promising himself he has now bought his own flower shop and is pouring 25 hrs a day into this new business venture!
